Sierra Forest Products Partners with Homes of Living Hope for Great Cause

Sierra Forest Products, Aurora, Colorado was proud to partner with Homes of Living Hope, a non-profit organization that provides the framework for converting used shipping containers into functioning facilities, and our customer Watson Mills & Design. Sierra Forest Products' donation of Shasta Maple plywood, and the Watson Mills & Design employee's donation of a Saturday morning, combined to build these unique, folding stools for the Musana Community Development Organization, who will receive the retrofitted shipping container and use it as a vocational training classroom.

The Musana Community Development Organization is committed to providing health, education and life skills to disadvantaged children, that enables them to be well equipped with the necessary education skills, and social dynamics to transition into the community at large. The new vocation training classroom will play a key role in accomplishing this mission.

Will Bruinsma, Divisional Manager at Sierra Forest Products in Aurora embraced this opportunity to support the Musana mission through Watson Mills & Design, knowing that the expertise of the team at Watson would produce a valuable asset for this important project. These stools are easy to ship, easy to assemble, and will enable the students a comfortable working environment for their skill development.

"Our goal is to strengthen communities by building relationships through the teamwork required to support a worthy cause," said Bart Wear, Homes of Living Hope Director. "We are excited about this partnership, and the material and labor donations. The stools Watson Mills created using the Sierra Forest plywood will be so useful in Musana's vo-tech classrooms."
